I don’t think Beethoven had groupies; he could be pretty rude if someone talked while he was playing—and back then, it was normal for the audience to carry on chatting. He was famous for yelling at the guests at a society party he was asked to play at, for talking while he was playing.
That’s not all Lucy and Therese Brunsvik had in common…Therese resided in Pest most of her life and Lucy seems to have picked up on the essence of that. She was quite the feminist of her day but Ludwig apparently didn’t have a problem with that.
Beethovan was quite eccentric and lived like a hermit-writing all his compositions on walls I heard. I even heard he had Tourette’s Syndrom along with being hearing impaired. He was a musical genius.

You mean Beethoven didn’t have groupies?

Yes it is, Lucy. It’s exactly what you said.

Well look at the bright side…. she actually got him to talk to her for once

Beethoven couldn’t have heard them if there were. Come to think of it, Schroeder usually doesn’t want to hear Lucy either.

What you say & what people hear are often 2 different things.

Hmmm…I wonder if that is one of the reasons Schroeder admires Beethoven so much…the deafness… :)

Victor Borge said thats how the piano got its curve—SOme fat guy leaned on that side of the piano. BTW Lucy you asked him and he told you.

Schroeder, recall that Beethoven asked Therese Brunsvik to marry him.

So – I guess Lucy must never tire of speaking to Schoeder’s upper cranium?

Lucy never mess with one and a very dedicated musician. The end result will and would never work out as much as you might plan it.
