Clearly, they are enjoying the beauty of a peaceful snowfall, but Janis breaks the spell by noting that the weather radar shows that it will soon be ending. Life is short, enjoy those moments while you can.

Just five minutes ago I did exactly the same, but in reverse! Checked the weather on my I-pod to see if the sunshine would continue or if there was another dump of #$^% snow on it’s way that I’d have to shovel!

I have a Kindle and Smartphone. I love both. I got the Kindle as a gift a few years back and never looked back.

At first, I took it to be a remote control that Janis was holding up, but on closer inspection I have to agree with the analysis that it is her smart phone, which she is reading in the final frame.
