Jason: Are you ready for some chowdahhh?...Some hot and clammy chowdahhh?... Peter: What on earth are you singing about? Jason: I overheard Dad say today is soup bowl Sunday. Peter: It's SUPER bowl Sunday, you moron! Jason: Oh. Faster than a speeding oyster cracker... Peter: Dad, can I watch the game over at Steve's house?

Shouldn’t Jason’s bare hands be burning after holding those bowls?

The super bowl. Oh yeah. I keep forgetting. Actually, my wife and I have our grandson this weekend so my son and daughter in law can watch the super bowl with the other grandparents and a bunch of others. Never got into football myself. Have fun those of you who are.

When it comes to the Super bowl, the only part I watch is the half-time show, providing that they don’t do something stupid and offensive that could morally scar any children watching.

I always watch the halftime shows – wouldn’t want to miss any wardrobe malfunctions.

A friend of mine has been all psyched for the halftime show. He loves Madonna. I’m watching Sci Fi myself.

I spent today at the mall looking at cell phones and video games. But I would like to see a football game played with soup; Campbell’s vs. Progresso.

Around here they have Souper Bowl Sunday, which is a food drive in January ending on Super Bowl Sunday. They’ll take any food, but the emphases is on soup and crackers.
