Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Green beans, waxed beans spinach, green peas, tofu, most all fruit except cantelope, blueberries and rasperries, pancakes & waffles, sushi, chocolate & finally coffee.
Beets top my list, then soggy corn flakes, then several cooked veggies (which I find odd, since I love cole slaw, assorted veggie dips and raw carrots).
broccoli, Brussels sprouts (super yuck!), liver, most cabbage, corn, most cooked veggies, pumpkin – i’m a supertaster – almost anything strongly flavored is too much for me. i don’t even like chocolate very much.
Most foods taste fine when properly cooked (or raw) but I’ve never had okra or nopales that lost the ICK, and never had any tofu that I liked either (tho I understand there may be better types).
If you never liked cabbage, you should try it fried in just enough mix of butter and mild oil (after shedding – just until it is all carmelized). Serve warm with some cold plain yogurt or sour cream. YUM!
When I was a kid, I never needed that trick. My mother never learned to cook, so we used the hollow legs under the formica table (I’d never do that now -very phobic of bugs) but by the time I was 13, I was the full time family cook (1950).
@ redhead, never tryed eel and agree on raw escargot (even oysters are horrid when raw, but great baked with good sauce and spinach. The tentacles of calamari are just great too when fried as an appetizer but the bodies have to be in a more complex dish. I used to make them with rice for my X.
@Saxie, I cannot understand a dislike for cheese (unless you have an allergy). I also don’t understand anyone who dislikes ALL fruits or ALL vegetables! Those who find themselves in that situation need to find a place to eat things that are well prepared if they want to be able to consume normal foods.
