You can be good at learning on your own and lousy at school. I am living proof. At that time in that place, homeschooling was unheard of, unfortunately.“Malefic”, “maleficence.” I’ve always known the word “malefic” and am glad to find it’s root.Thanks, Calvin.

I’ll bet 96% of you had to run to your dictionary to look up “Maleficence”. Will the 4% please stand up and take a bow.

Thanks for taking the time to looking it up in the dictionary. Both words pertain to wrongful actions, but MALFEASANCE is defined as “wrongdoing or misconduct, esp. by a public official; commission of an act that is positively unlawful: distinguished from MISFEASANCE.”So, once again, Calvin (and Watterson) are correct. Calvin is no public official and his bad behavior is not necessarily unlawful. NEVER QUESTION CALVIN’S VOCABULARY!

Notice Calvin didn’t argue and obeyed his father. Gotta love him for that.
