It takes birds a few days to discover a new feeder, especially if they have no other close by. Some seeds on the ground would help (visible by fly bys) and one the birds see other birds there, Ruthie will have plenty to watch. My birds eat very well (all the crumbs from my little Timneh’s almonds and walnuts (and his dry whole wheat with peanut butter).
Today’s toon was hysterical. Ruthie and Joe built a snowperson wh turned into Avis ;-D And Rick had a post on FB with other snow troubles (slip-sliding around) which are the reason I’m now in Phoenix where I have flowers in my garden year round ;-)

I used tofeed the birds suet cakes in the winter time. It kept them fat and energetic.
