I think I’d be more inclied to laugh and run. It’s not like Alice will be able to catch up in those huge snow pants.

the only time we girls could wear pants to school in the 60s was if it was cold enough to wear snowpants. We had to take them off during school, then struggle back into them to go home.

Her snow pants look like old man pants, with the waist up around her chest.

When I started kindergarten 70+ years ago (!) I went to one near a teacher college, and the students would help us kiddies dress. Then my family moved to Pittsburgh, and I had to deal with my own snowpants. Mom said that this made me quite indignant.

Fast-forward to a few years ago, and snowpants became my friend. When I’m up in Wisconsin helping with the grandkids, those snowpants feel mighty good. My daughter and I share an ample pair (but not at the same time).

Actually, I’m not ample, so get that mental picture out of your heads.

Ironically, I didn’t feel like laughing until she made her threat.

The worst part of snowpants was that “swish-swish” noise they made. Hard to sneak up on your little brother and drop a snowball down his sweater when he can hear you coming from down the block…

I hated snowpants as a kid. They made me hot and bulky.

Didn’y have that problem growing up in Southern California. We didn’t wear pants. Or shoes, most the time.

A few years ago we took our older grandkids to Sheboygan County’s outhouse race (!) Since it was below zero, plus there was wind, Elizabeth (around three) really needed her boots. However, neither her mother nor I could get that last one on. Elizabeth was getting teary. We finally had to call over Security to get the job done. I’d like to see Mr. Thompson cover the outhouse race, if he’s able.

Snowpants??? I live in Texas. I can’t relate. But I love the strip! And I agree — Alice has the memory of an elephant and even if Beni got away this day, he’d pay for his laughter at another time!
