My ex-daughter-in-law bought her boys an Xbox for Christmas. She got it from a guy on Craigslist. On Christmas day, she discovered it didn’t work. Turns out the inside was pretty much gutted and of course when she tried to call the guy she bought it from, the number was bogus.
My wife went around and took donations from the family and we went and bought the boys a used Xbox from a real store.
Sad that the world we live in is full of scams like this one. Unfortunately for Craigs list – renting apts is full of scams too. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Keep looking. It is probably better to go to a reliable store.
I remember being mad at my mother because she wouldn’t let me send $5 to the guy on the radio advertising a typewriter for that bargain price. (Yeah, Del Rio, Texas!)
