    In the 19 years we’ve had dachshunds, not once has the house been damaged by a closing car door. BTW, dachels do have large chests, both to protect their bellies from badger attacks (they were bred to hunt same) and to give an audible play by play when down a burrow. They just don’t adjust for the lack of dirt when they’re topside. &8-{)
