George McCovery of Lake County, Fla., USA, had his jail sentence cut short by a judge in 2011 after he met a court sanctioned weight challenge and dropped 25 pounds in only 20 days! The Great Comet of 1811- passed into the inner solar system and was visible to the naked eye for more than 250 days!

Comets are actually dirty snowballs with a long tail. But they’re fascinating to see. Astronomy is awesome.
