In November 2011, and unexploded World War II era bomb was found in the Rhine River. Nearly half the population of Koblenz, Germany, was forced to evacuate until the bomb could be decommissioned! Good job! According to Transparency International's corruption index- New Zealand rates as the least corrupt country in the world! Heine Braeck of Sarpsborg, Norway, lost his right arm and a childhood accident and years later had the stump tattooed to look like a dolphin!

The considerations provided to Transparency International were well allocated.

What are the chances that the bomb would detonate and cause damage? Is it possible that whoever ordered the evacuation should be decommissioned? Sometimes it seems that there is ‘panic’ (recalls, evacuations, screenings, etc.) over a minute possibility of something bad happening!

All of life has risks! We can’t cover for everything!

@Grey Piper,Unfortunately, it’s not obvious to me! I read two articles about the incident. I’m not saying they shouldn’t have evacuated half the city, but I’m questioning it depending on the chances of the bomb exploding. I know it has happened before and three people were killed in one incident.Who’s the troll? It isn’t a hoax as far as I can tell.

Actually, the smaller bomb was considered to be more dangerous of the two bombs that were found in the river.

I used to have a pen-pal from New Zealand, She was a Born Again Christian like me. A lot of good Christians live there so no wonder it’s free of corruption.

Believe it or not, the reason why Chicago was named the Windy City had nothing to do with meteorology. It was, instead, a reference to the rhetoric of politicians.

I went & checked the idex, for those who are curious, US is tied for 22, Somalia is last at 178. Of course, not all countries are listed (such as N Korea). Canada to my north is 6, and UK is 20.

@walruscarver2000,Your “staments” should be demolished, but since you’re the expert, why don’t you tell me the least idea about which I don’t know. At least I qualified my statements; your statements are unqualified and unsubstantiated!
