I once knew a family whose last name was actually Christmas. The girl who was my age was named Merry! So was SO miffed whenever she had to write her name down in school and new teachers believed that she was joking. When she got older, she changed the spelling of her first name to Mary and then married someone with a very long, complicated last name.
I think that her family’s last name with something like Christiansen when they came over on the boat but people at Ellis Island had a hard time writing down the actual name - so they wrote the name down as Christmas and it just stuck!
Sorry to hear about Momo MisngNOLA. Its always sad to lose a pet, just like family.

Sandy got off easy. We spent over $1100 on our poor little Momo and he passed away anyway, 2 years ago this February.
