I have a conflict of interest here, with a connection at ILM and Lucas Ranch. But I have often wondered what ever became of that scroll….

I’m more interested to learn why you’re so down in the mouth about the whole affair. Asking a franchise to remain where it is, is like asking a downhill train to put on its brakes and flip caboose over engine.

Bet you can sell this to Mel Brooks, Justin.

If I were to design a manned spacecraft, I don’t think I would put the main engines in quite that configuration.

@Night-Gaunt49George is working on a live-action show that would tell stories in the time period between Episodes III and IV.

That’s what the (imo better) expanded universe comes in, which really got it’s start two decades ago with the Heir to the Empire trilogy and continued on to the Legacy era a century past the time of Luke, Leia and Han.

My memory may not be the best, but I thought George Lucas had cancelled the final 3 episodes of Star Wars after the first 3 came out. Joseph Campbell was a huge influence on George Lucas, and after he died Star Wars wasn’t the same. But if Lucas does nothing, fanfiction and graphic novels may take it undesirable directions. .

I believe he’s gone on public record about that, too. If anyone’s going to do such a thing it would have to be “a fan who understands”, and that would likely be a very good thing.

At least we all agree about the bunny!
