7 of 9 was a stereotypical US token sex object. The boobs, the wiggle, the voice, the outfit. Jane would be designated 1 of many and would bring her own character to the story.

7 of 9 is a character from STNG (Star Trek – Next Generation). She was formerly part of a Borg collective (#7 in a total of 9 in her group). I don’t remember the whole storyline, but she somehow escapes the Borg singularity and is adopted by the crew of the Enterprise.And yes, she was hot, and the producers shamelessly admitted creating her character in order to appeal to the boy nerd demographic and boost sagging ratings (and it worked).

“Voyager”, Seasons 4 through 7. Seven was a great character, especially when paired with the Doctor. Added a great many possibilities to the story line.

I’ve never seen this story arc in Jane’s world before is it new material?

nope it’s a revisit to the Last Starfighter story.

No, 7 of 9 was a human, modified with surgically implanted gadgets, a bit like Inspector Gadget, but not so silly.
