    ACE Insurance guy needs a new client. Nowadays, school yards are covered with $10,000 worth of rubber matting, mulch, and ground tires, at the behest of the taxpayers, rendering the occasional knee scrape almost impossible. Dept of Ed considers this cost-effective, over the former Ouch, soap, mercurochrome, 5-cent band-aid alternative. This is because, “A ton of prevention is worth an ounce of cure”. Or was it, "An ounce of…oh, well.

    And, of course, we must protect the little darlings against ANY potential mishap that may occur in the institutional setting, so that they will be totally unprepared for what life brings them afterwards. There are school districts, now, that have banned the game dodge-ball, because the ball might sting a little when it strikes a leg. Aww, poor sweetie!
