I didn’t think Skye would give up so easily.

When you know you can have whatever guy you want, you don’t have to rush, just wait for the next one.

“Love the one you’re with” – yes I know they didn’t mean it THAT way.

Skye is much older than Leo. She has on reading glasses. I think she has maternal feelings for him, nothing else.

“Love the one you’re with…” funny. I always meant it that way. What a simple-minded sucker I was…Skye can handle this. Whatever competition she has is ’way away and proposes by electronics. A smart, savvy and calm woman playing her chess game of love versus a flibberty-gibbet…this gets interesting.

Alex is fragile and insecure – that does not make her crazy or a flibberty-gibbet. Skye is not as good as her name, and not as good as she thinks she is. It’s the classic dilemma for a man, pictured in the 6th tarot card – cupid above, and a man who needs to make a decision between his sweetheart and the woman who goes out to hunt a man, or buy one for as long as he proves amusing. Why didn’t I notice that the studio guy wears shades? Visual shorthand for shady. SKy is much better at war, Alex much better at love. time will tell, and I’m with Alex 300%. Is Leo good for Alex? If he chooses Skye, he’s not worth the love Alex gave him.

Poor Leo, caught in the middle and now Babka wants to hold a knife to his throat. I bet he dosen’t know his value is at stake. What if he says, " I can’t decide, I think I’ll wait to make a desision?

Nowadays, I’m good means I am not interested in what is being suggested that I do. She has moved on.

Finally you get a girlfriend and the next thing you know twenty of them are knocking at your door. Where were they when you were available?

Just glancing at what Skye was holding, I thought it was some kind of electronic gun – turns out it’s her script plus the mic. Subliminal hint?

“Fibberty gibbet” is part of the lyrics of a song – the second one – was used the movie “Sound of Music.” It’s near the beginning of the movie when the nuns are speculating about what to do with Maria in the song “Maria.”

Heck, she just gave up. Maybe she’s too old for Leo, anyways. I was hoping for more drama with these guys for a few days more.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flibbertigibbet but it does seem tigre1 is rooting for Skye. maybe they’ll “just go out for coffee” so Leo can say they just went out for coffee.

I agree that Skye is probably (somewhat) older than Leo, but not because of the glasses. Young people can be nearsighted too.

montessoriteacher, my alternate reading of “I’m good” is in line with babka’s suggestion that she may just be biding her time. We don’t know Skye very well yet. (Who knows? Her last name may turn out to be Bickle.) Alex and Leo are very young; if Skye has had more relationship experience, she may see this proposal as…hasty? Ill-advised? Unlikely to come to fruition? (I still believe that Skye is a better match for Leo than Alex is. If Skye has heard anything about Alex at all, she might believe the same. And if Skye HASN’T heard anything about Alex, that too speaks volumes.)

I think Skye is sufficiently secure to know that she doesn’t have to make a move on a guy who has history with a girlfriend (to the point of proposal). She can get enough guys without messing up a relationship just ‘cause she thinks he’s cute.

Alex is narcissistic and looking only for ‘love’ by her definition and to satisfy her own needs, Leo ‘works’ because he doesn’t confront her with his own needs. I think Skye will help sort or the mess.

Flibbertigibbet dates hack to about 1450 as a chatterbox. In the 1500’s it meant gossipy person for a while, and then that usage went away. Shakespeare used as a name foe a demon in King Lear. Am I to TMI yet?

Leo and Skye only have a professional relationship based on mutual respect. It could lead to a professional lunch date and a professional rendezvous at a local no tell motel. Don’t tell me dat never happened before.

By giving Alex a red-headed rival, GBT plays all you Becca lovers for saps. He’s cast your two main female fantasies into a destructive competition. Babka’s taro is an apt metaphor of your situation.

Is that Leo’s aphasia or is that real stuttering?

“I’m good” = I don’t need to act on this. Whether Leo is ready to accept the proposal or not, neither he nor Skye seem like the type to jump headlong into a badly timed new romance.
