i’m right with yah! broke the needle on ours about 15 years ago. it still doesn’ t work, even tho i got new needles. maybe i should find them and put a new one in….
I wonder with the cuts in education if people are being taught to sew. I quit sewing when knits became popular since I couldn’t sew them as cheaply. I do use my machine for repairing tears, but I sew by hand when shortening hubby’s pants, using a blind stitch. Many of my friends are into quilting and they use their machines a lot.

That reminds me. I think I’ll need to get a new pair of pants or two soon. The buttons arre about to fall off a couple of black pairs I have.

Even sewing might help get off some of that weight. Opal is not as heavy.

I used to sew when I was in the Juniors.
