Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for February 28, 2012

Transcript:
Dill: For today's show and tell, I brough a very treasured item... my stick! Sometimes it makes me a Viking! And other times it makes a hearty snack! Miss Bliss: Thank you, Dill. Please stop chewing your stick.
Dill is most human of all Blisshavenâs eccentric pupils, for he is the true omnivoreâany thing, any where, any time. Hail, Dill (future husband of Alice)!
I have a stick like that. Duck taped a bent fork to it. Thatâs one very handy tool.Among other things itâs just right for snagging those little chains on those dual speed ceiling fans.
Dill and Alice will not get married. Dill will grow up to be a corporate lawyer and politicianâŠhis wife will be someone out of Family Circle.Alice will one day abandon her career as an astrophysicist (they deal in naught-but-fantasy now) to become an international currency arbitrager and poet â if Thompson gets her Lithium level rightâŠ
I read this strip on paper and have been wondering what in the sam hill has been going on with the art. Today it occurred to me to check on line. Thanks to all the commenters for clarifying. Best wishes Mr, Thompson! And congrats on that Reuben!
For a good explanation of whatâs going on with the stripâs using varying artists, please see http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/comic-riffs/post/cul-de-sac-guest-artists-move-in-monday-on-hiatus-thompson-asks-6-top-cartoonists-to-take-a-shot-at-his-strip/2012/02/16/gIQAqHOyIR_blog.html
Have you changed artists for your drawings? If so, would you make an announcement on this page. Just for the record, the new-type drawing is not as engaging for this reader as was the old style.

Did something happen to the artwork? Is someone else drawing the panels? It seems very different.

Well, I am tired of other cartoonistâs versions of my favorite comic, ENOUGH! Just show old ones when Richard is outof pocket.
