Lessee, The price for a 3-D movie is 4 to 5 bucks more and they want you to “recycle” the glasses so they can sell them to someone else? Keep the $%&#** glasses, you paid for them!

You might as well throw them in the bin. It’s not like they make effective sunglasses or anything once you’ve left the theater. The new ones are more comfortable and more effective (better field of vision) than the old cardboard ones, but they ARE more expensive to make. And they don’t give you a break on the ticket price if you bring your own glasses to the theater, so what’s the drawback to recycling them?

The only advantage I can see to keeping the glasses (aside from souvenir value) is that next time you go to the multiplex you can buy a (cheaper) ticket for a non-3D film but then sneak into the theater where the 3D movie is playing. And surely NOBODY would ever do THAT, right?

Dean: Just get a nice suit and with those glasses and your hair you can do a nice David Tenant.

Actually, the price is the same for any movie you go to, 3-d or not. The 3-d glasses are just an extra bonus for the 3-d movie. I kept mine and if we do go to see another 3-d movie, I’ll be bringing them along to use.
