Thatadad, and other dads, you can still go see the game when you return from Parents’ night.

Good idea, meeting the day care, after some stories you hear on the news! That’s what DVRs are for, Thatadad.

Seems to me he pulls more than his fair share of the work with the kid. He’s the one who is always up nights, he’s the one who plays with the kid all the time, takes him shopping, etc… I think the guy deserves some time with his friends. In this case, the mom is just being a jerk.

Yes, but ’parent’s night’ is plural, so gotta dad-up, dad!

Never obey a wife’s imperious order. Never. Not once. If you ever obey, it just gives them an expectation that you will obey again. Even if it’s something you want to do, there’s a higher principle here. And there’s that other little man who needs the example. An example apparently already failed here.

Sure, for a normal kid that is right. But if your kid has autism, a learning disability or a serious behavior issue, you need a conference for that. They can see signs of autism at 6 months, if not earlier. Granted, the teacher should let you know as soon as possible for those issues, but sometimes there isn’t a better time. Besides, if you are okay with sending your kid to a daycare that you know very little about, then don’t get upset when there are problems later. As others have said, get involved with your child’s life – that’s an important part of your job as a parent!!

1/2 an hour at the daycare – 3 hours with the guys – all is right with ThataDads world…

If you ask me, Baby is deriving way too much pleasure from Dad’s misfortune.
I do see Dad’s point, though … kinda.
