Those old Warner Brothers cartoons introduced the classics to a lot of us young philistines.

Remember Fantasia? Pure classics!

classical music and classic cartoons. what could be better?

My favorite was “Kill the wabbit!” opera, featuring the vocal exploits of one Elmer Fudd, after Bugs and the HR No. 2, of course.

And don’t forget Bruno Bozzetto’s Allegro non troppo, the Fantasia parody, featuring music from Debussy, Dvorak, Ravel, Sibelius, Vivaldi and Stravinsky. The Valse Triste segment is one of my favorites:(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8Oc_J1Lu-o)

There are actually few classical pieces I hear without seeing Looney Tunes in my head.

“the merry-go-round broke down” is my ring tone. you should see the looks i get when it goes off.

I miss the old days of bugs bunny and friends cartoons. the junk of today just does not do it for me.

Wow… the trophy has some brains after all! LOL!
