Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for March 18, 2012
Transcript:
Satchel: You know what would be fun? Time travel! Bucky: Meh. It's ok. Satchel: You can't go back in time! Bucky: I choose not to go back in time, but I travel forward in time a lot. Satchel: Bucky, why wouldn't a person go back in time if they could? Bucky: All the good food in the past has already been eaten. Future snacks are still up for grabs. Satchel: I don't believe you can go into the future. Show me. Bucky: ...there. Aaaaand there. Satchel: But I'm here, too. Bucky: no, by the time you're there, I've moved on to ...here. Satchel: Ok, I suspect you're wrong, but I'm unable to wordify my why. Bucky: Plus, there's still time to nap in the future. And there.

Last week at this ātime,ā the US government mandated setting clocks ahead i.e. Daylight Saving Time. Effectively putting many states back into darkness to start each day. A blatant example of what morons do best.

Time travel isnāt worth the hassle. You travel back in time to use your current knowledge to buy stocks and bet on sports events only to discover that your money is too new, so you come back to the present to get some of the money of that time only to discover that buying it will cost you more than the profit youāll make on the stocks and bets. So then you decide to travel forward in time to find out what stocks are going to go up and whoās going to win what sporting event, and maybe get some future technology that will make you a mint when you āinventā it, only to find yourself in an alternate reality where the Dodgers never left Brooklyn and all the tech is made with Unobtainium.

Blackworth, Yes! I love Al Stewart! One of my favorite songwritersā¦Itās like heās the James Michener of song writers, very complex historical storiesā¦And his meter and rhyme are impeccable and darn near incredibleā¦ā¦Of course my favorite line is the one that caught my attention when I heard it on the radioā¦.āShe comes out of the sun in a silk dress, runninā like a water color in the rainā¦ā¦.ā Even back then I was playing around with words, so I knew he was not the normal radio dudeā¦ I recommend the songs Bed Sitter Images, In Brooklyn, Angola and Post World War Two Blues, but all of his stuff is the bestā¦Nobody writes like himā¦.

Time is relative, but itās not your relative. If anyone in the future ever developed time travel, we would have heard about it by now, it would have made history automatically! Might be able to stop time, but you would become unfortunately infinitely massive and no amount of dieting and exercise could fix it.
