@SusanSunshine: I’ve never watched an episode either, but I do have an idea what the show was about. And I like the theme song. The Simpsons used the tune in an episode about Fat Tony.

The Sopranos totally rocked! I miss it, but then I am also a huge Quentin Tarentino fan. Can somebody explain this comic to me?

I wish I could. It flew right over my head. I thought it was just because I’d never seen The Sopranos.

Although Jackie Brown is one of my all time favorite movies.

If you didn’t like the Sopranos then don’t even bother watching Sons of Anarchy. I love it, but it goes beyond Sopranos.

I also have never seen the Sopranoes. I DO know the Altos are even lower life than them, though…..and the Basses, lower yet!

He must miss hearing them (especially Tony) use the “F” word many times in each episode.

If all it’s about is that Daddy misses the days when he could watch adult fare, then it’s too far to go for too little reward.

One of these days I’m going to review about a month’s worth of Brevity in one sitting and decide if it’s worth continuing to subscribe.

I watched much of The Sopranos and don’t get this cartoon.

I have seen the Sopranos but have no idea what this comic is about. Can someone help? By the way, when you log in to make a comment, GoComics takes you to some random page and you have to work your way back. Really bad design.

Ok… to me, the joke is that the kid is pretending to “blow up” a car. …by actually blowing.

There are body and car parts flying, and his lips are pursed.

Daddy misses the realistic violence of The Sopranos.

Pschearer — my first thought was as you said… he missed the days of watching violent tv instead of a little kid.

Then I realized I’d heard the Sopranos ended, and I thought that interpretation would really only make sense for something he could watch but for Junior.

I don’t mind Brevity being a puzzle

I do think, though, that the themes have been drifting darker and… well.. yuckier … Not all the time but in general, and even more so since Dan arrived.

(Dunno whether he brings some creepier visions, or simply is more willing to illustrate Guy’s weirder ones.)

But I have to say I miss the sweet cows and goofy dogs.

I miss that Tuesday night lineup: Happy Days, Laverne&Shirley,Threes Company, Mash, and Family. Then I miss too All In the Family and those variety shows. Those were the days!

As for the Sopranos — I don’t have cable TV at all, much less HBO.

Ever since the digital switchover, which I think was 4 years ago, my ancient antenna will only pick up one channel.

It’s our small local PBS station, that runs programs, if at all, weeks or months after they were shown on the much bigger San Francisco PBS channel.

Unless I’m at someone else’s house the nly TV I watch is the odd Masterpiece Theater and maybe a British sitcom if I remember to turn on the TV some weeknight at 7.

I was watching Red Dwarf re-runs most Saturdays at 11:30 pm but they seem to have (sniffle) dropped them.

That was my only “Must See TV,” though to tell the truth I often missed it.

I DON’T miss network TV … it was getting to be nothing but CSI variations and phony “reality” shows.

I also never watch the sopranos, at least not since choir in High School

I watched the entire series, some episodes more than once. Never saw a beheading. I don’t think G&R ever saw it either.
