The cat seems to be wondering how it became involved in Opal’s plans. Two chores that would be eliminated if she got rid of the cat would be no box to change and no cat to carry. Granted, getting rid of Earl would make her life a lot easier, but most of us guys are worth the added aggravation, not always so with cats.
