Very serious.

I keep hoping that “lightning” will be spelled correctly, and I know it’s a picky thing but it bugs me! And I love this strip, love the artwork, love the humor, love the storylines. “Lightening” is what you do to something you bleach, “lightning” is what hit our dear Jane. I KNOW, I KNOW.

annalitchka, this is from 2002!! Paige probably isn’t reading our comments cos she’s filling in with these old strips while working hard on a new project.If last week’s strips weren’t edited before being re-published, it’s unlikely the rest of this arc was either.It’s useless to spell-check people, but even more so on 10-year-old work.

Besides, publicly spell-checking people is being judgmental at the highest level and I find that much more abhorrent than bad grammar.

Using proper English is never abhorrent. If you use the language for a living, you should respect it.

Look. Finally, something Jane will actually stick with.
