Enlarged (last View All Sizes choice, click to enlarge more) available from here. If you click BROWSE THE SKETCHBOOKS (in the cliff on the left), sketches for this painting can be seen on pages 9 & 18 of Book 6 (left column). Mousing over that will actually show a larger image of page 9, or you can choose it from the page pairings in the left column after clicking Book 6. So far, only work by this artist to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog.
Sir/Mam<l>i am requesting that you reconsider your banning of "#6" from commenting. i understand that his joke was a bit crass and not at all P.C., but i don’t feel that he was attacking anyone on purpose. he was just doing what we all do. a fast crack and onto the next comic.and he did apologize to "raspberryice". <l>i would also suggest that in all fairness you might consider reinstating raspberryice,IF rasberryice also apologizes.we all have thin places in our skin and buttons to push (myself included) and #6s statement just pushed the wrong button at the wrong time. even tho no harm was meant.<l>one of the last statements that i saw was #6 asking if we could just drop it and move on. i think he fully understands his mistake, and it MAY be possible that raspberry ice does to.<l>so, please reinstate #6 and give raspberry ice a chance apologize, and reinstate him if he agrees to apologize also. everyone will learn from both of the mistakes made.<l>…#6 is one of those people that make your product a lot more fun than just a collection of comics. the comics brought me here. the comments keep me here. (also, if you baned everyone for not being P.C. most of the males, myself included, would be banned for sexest remarks. and some of the females also.)<l>thank youOverton L. Hallford@noicantspell Hallford
i realize that some people will not like all aspects of my letter to the moderators, but i feel that fair is fair. if raspberry ice apologizes to #6, he should be let back in also, if #6 is let back infair is fair.

I thought you had them. No, I thought that you had them, my dear.

No, it’s ok; there’s some poor guy in the front of the boat rowing while they just sit there slagging off their best friend.

As punting fans the world over know, oars are for beginners.
What these ladies need is good stout pole of considerable length.

I must say the black rubber gloves make the outfit. Maybe they’re going ‘noodling’.

Looks like these ladies don’t have both oars in the water.

Nah-they’re too smart to row when they can charm some poor schmuck into rowing for them!

Actual proof that even a great painter like Monet could create a bad painting.

Who needs oars? One of these ladies was planning to take her dress off and use it as a foresail.

Ahh… right… yes, I think we’re all becoming a little nervous at how little it takes to spark off an ‘event’ these days…

Thanks Good Evening… and as I’m rather late to see your well wishes, I hope you’ve had a good day too!
