I only got that reaction from my cat when I came in with cans of catfood. I swear he could smell through the cans and the shopping bag. Because if it was a can of human food, he wouldn’t even look up.
One of our cats sits in the window when it’s time for me to come home from work; never fails, he’s there. Then when the door opens he runs to meet me. I love it.

So your name seems appropriate, Notsoastute. ;)Seriously, if you’re around them and pay attention to what they know, they’re amazingly smart.

Hmmm. Why isn’t that dog laying across the computer keyboard??

My cats are smart but independent (yes, pretty normal for cats). Sometimes they come to greet me when I come home, but sometimes they don’t.

I’d call this a good April Fools Day gag… not only is it a good prank, but it’s even a day late! LOL!

Yup—as a cat lover, I can verify this one is 100% true.
Fun one, as my Random comic tonight.
