Good Morning Crustwoodians as well! Even though I have been a somewhat infrequent poster of late, I am hoping and planning to get back into the comments and hope to potentially become one of the Crustwoodian “Crew” as well. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++My question today stems around the idea of Joy having a “worry stone” and Burl having “anxiety and nervous energy”. Joy and Burl have never struck me as worriers or anxious people, so the idea of Burl beading to quell that seems a bit odd. To me, Burl beading seems more like something (as Mike suggests) that would help him keep from being “bored” at work. Joy having a “worry stone” also seems odd. I have never seen her appear worried about much of anything other than the few occasions where she was a bit worried about something happening to “her man”. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Worrying is a true waste of time… unfortunately I know that from first hand experience being a worrier by inclination. I have spent far too many hours in worry, and realize that and try to combat it, but I easily fall back into that mindset. I have chewed through several stems on my pipes over the years while worrying and I grind my teeth at night (TMJ, which is held at bay by a bite splint)… so I still have a ways to go in not being a worrier…. but I am working at it. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Leaky and Dazz are inspirations to me (as is SusanSunshine) in terms of their seemingly always upbeat attitude here.
Good Morning all, including Pipe! We never exclude anyone unless they exclude themselves here. There was a store down the street from me called Touch of Glass -not for jewelry (I bought custom table tops from them for the tables I made in the LR of extra thick glass with a chipped edge that is polished that way). Just about all the candles, crafting items etc sound like things that Joy must have bought while watching QVC. . For those of us who may have wondered who would watch those “shopping” channels it is obviously aimed at the Joy Pennys of the world, and the movie is a classic, but in this case an example of useless gifts..and they are eating another empty calorie laden snack (but not the REAL Fiddle Faddle). ;-D
They don’t get the real Fiddle Faddle, too expensive. They do have an empty box in the closet to put the Diddle Doddle in when they are having guests over.

Burl has anxiety and nervous energy? First I heard of it. Or anyone else. Burl has the intelligence—and spine—of Play Doh.

Maybe Burl take thebeads to work so he has something to do while earning his money.
Good Morning Crustwoodians! And a special good day to SusanSunshine when she gets here!

Maybe Burl’s stressed out about the fact that when he naps at work his employees are goofing off.

Sorry… I just realized it was Dave who suggested Burl would do the beading at work.
