Thatâs pretty good technology there: when she tells it to pick something âat random,â the algorithm (remember, nothing a computer does is truly random; thereâs an algorithm behind all of it) picks exactly the message she needs to hear at the moment⊠even when the message tells her to put down the gadget and smell the roses!.Betcha Siri wouldnât do thatâŠ
What about material things that help you to acheive virtue? Did you think about that? How about the virtues that help you acheive material things? I have to think about that. Oh, Iâm busy. You think about it.
The village that hath no sacred templeThe village that weareth not the sacred ashesThe village that prayeth not with intense devotionThe village that hath not several shrinesThe village hat bloweth not with delight the white conchThe village that hath no canopies or white flagsThe village that offers not fragrant flowers before foodVillages no more are they, but jungles and forests.- Appar (Thirunavukkarasu)
Cf. the French proverb, âIf you only have 10 francs left, spend it on flowers before food." (âFlowers before foodâ is the motto of Little Brothers â Friends of the Elderly, which was founded in France).
Interesting, but flawed reasoning. In the first and second panels she expresses joy over being able to access information, not over the means ⊠so the proverb doesnât apply, unless you consider the information a material âthingâ. The âI Godâ is just a means to access info, and carry it around. Following that idea, you could conclude that the brain, which can also store info should not be cared for ⊠well, I care for mine ..

I thought Boody was allergic to flowers. Just wait until his famous sneeze occurs, no more flowers.

Boody may not be a profound thinker, but he has a great soul â Mahatma Boody!
Â
Another observation: This is one of the rare occasions where we see a sad Karma.

IGod⊠considering how a lot of people idolize those things, thatâs not a bad idea, although iBorg might be closer to the truth. ;)

Worry, Karma, when your iGod says âVirtue is irrelevant. Material things are irrelevant. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.â :P

Too late, I think my iPod Touch has an app for that â itâs even called BORG. (And itâs cleverly disguised as a music app.)
