Dr. Laura has the right to use the title Dr. as she has a Ph.D. However it is in physiology, not psychology or psychiatry. She did get training in therapy (albeit after the start of her radio show) and counseling, and holds a certificate in marriage and family counseling.
So she stretches the truth some, but at least she’s got some truth in there.

Kinda like Dr. Phil and Dr. Laura giving psychological advice with degrees in totally unrelated fields.

Dr. Phil is/was a psychologist Dr. Laura is not. That’s the difference.

I would not bother with what either of them says. Even Dr Oz is loosing credulity as his staff promote more dubious things.

I was amazed at the drivel “Dr.” Laura was allowed to use to address serious problems. Saw her speak once: she made Sarah Palin look a mental giant.
