Actually, that’s not too bad a beginning. Better than “It was a dark and stormy night.” We need more angst-ridden novels about English majors.
This fella is off to a good start, as long as what he writes can be adapted into a graphic novel which can then be picked up and made into a movie!
Sounds like a bestseller on Oprah’s list.
Now is the winter of our discontent…..
The hardest thing to write is the first few sentences. How about “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.” Oops, that’s taken! It was a bad start to a rather good book.
