Nerdiest sport? In the sport of combat juggling- participants do battle by attempting to knock an opponent's balls or clubs out of the air while maintaining control of their own! The (South) Korea Atomic Energy Institute built a robot armed with lasers and speakers to scare birds away from airport runways! A loggerhead sea turtle increases its weight by 6000 times as it grows from hatchling to adult!

Looks like he got clubbed in the head…Probably wasn’t paying attention…I had a much funnier comment for here but I deleted it…

That robot would probably scare me away, too, speaking Korean (which I don’t understand) and shooting lasers!

That’s not the nerdiest sport, but it may be the most clownish.
Oh, sure, they say the robot is for the birds….

If it was in North Korea when Kim Jung Il was alive. He would claim he was the one who shot lasers and not to scare birds to warn any incoming flight of his awesomeness

Actually, it seems to me that in essence the concept of combat juggling is not that different from kite fighting, which has been around for centuries.

I wonder whether any of those sea turtles are ever ‘at loggerheads’ with all that weight increase!

Nerdiest? No way … nerds have no skills and juggling is unquestionably a skill.

Nerds do so have skills – but a nerd would not need to turn something as elegant as juggling into a contact sport. Only a jerk would need that.

Hope the idiots from the TV networks see that “nerdiest” sport.
Just what we would need, another “reality”(?) show. But it couldn’t be any more stupid than the new one that’s due out about dogs! Don’t recall the name of it but I won’t miss it, won’t watch it either.Thank God for my DVD player.

To the Loggerheads of the World: a human being from 8 weeks gestation to full adult [about 160#] grows 64,000 times! And if you’re a women [about 110#], the figure is 44,000 times!

Indian Clubs as a deadly weapon… oh, pardon me, Native American Clubs.

I’m fascinated by all turtles. I hope humans do more to protect their eggs so most of them will grow to maturity.

Just what we need – laser beams at airports!
