CC: Louie, that was my friend. she brought a corvette...
...a vette we were talking about going to see a 'vette'
Louie: all right, okay. If thats the truth. i was just erring o the side of caution here.
Good Morning Crew,I don’t think Henry was talking about the Chevy, I do believe a “Corvette” is a French term for a small sailing warship between the size of a “Frigate” and a “Sloop of War” . After all this is a Pirate Comic Strip. Oh and Louie I think its a TRAP.Have a GREAT DAY MATIE’S
Finally something at least a bit amusing… this strip has gotten very lame with all the gardening, flying mice and Raymond the stupid upright talking dog (or whatever his name is).
I bought my first car in 1984—an ’84 Chevette. I would jokingly tell people who did not know what kind of car I had that I drove an ’84 ’Vette. When I told them that it was silver and had four doors some assumed that it was a custom job—quite an impressive Corvette! :) Of course I would be quick to tell them the truth but for a fleeting moment it was as if I had the hottest car in town!

I’m surprised he would know anybody with enough class to own a Corvette.

Trust no one, Louie, particularly not the one who would feed you tofu burgers.
