Hi, is this the "Daily Courier"? You guys misspelled my name wrong again! You spelled it "Knot Wright," which is totally wrong! It's not "Knot"! And it's not "Not," either! No, the Wright part is right! It's the Knot that's not! Who's on first? What? Second base!

Actually, it’s a one-run (cricket).
Nate needs to learn that so-called “journalists” aren’t at all what they’re touted as—not only spelling mistakes, but considerable numbers of factual errors show up on such newssites as Yahoo!

I used to work in a newspaper mail room. We were responsible for the delivery and distribution of the papers. LONG after 90% of the writers had gone home the paper was printed. The pressmen and mail room personnel were responsible for checking the page # and date on every page – but it was a RARE night that we didn’t find a misspelled word somewhere in the paper. It seems that newspaper reporters are too busy writing an article or finding a story too actually go to trouble of either using spell-check or reading their own trash before submitting it to the editors. Editors are too busy either making sure writers have something to write about or coming up with cute bylines for stories to actually make sure that the writers can actually write. We’d regularly find misspelled words, impartial sentences, photos that had NOTHING to do with the story they were printed next to, grammatical errors, etc. The funny thing is most of the people in the mail room had never been to college or even had advanced English courses.

Somehow, I’m thinking an e-mail to the paper would be more effective here.
