Peter: What'd you get first period? Paige: World history. Peter: Ha sucker. Paige: What's wrong with that? Peter: History is a total movie and slide-show class. You want to save those for later in the day when you need a nap. Paige: Rats. Andy: Kids would you mind doing that out of earshot? Peter: We're talking academics, Mom. Paige: I have french after lunch. Can't I nap then?

I used to nap in history class, just before lunch. Got my best marks. Others had to stay awake for, because I didn’t know the subject. Still love history… too bad we don’t really TEACH it anymore… concentrate on English basics (because kids don’t study) and Math (which produce kids who can’t make change for a $). Three chrees for “no child left behind” and the dumbing of America.

I enjoyed history through film in high school. I had world history in middle school, high school mostly focused on US history when I went.
