I think this should either be interesting or trouble for Betty.

So much for that friendship

Oooohhh! I’ve never felt sorry for Betty until today. I know she can rise above jealousy and feel happy for her friend’s success. Aaaand, proactively start looking for work elsewhere.

Nononono! You cannot maintain friendship on 2 different employee levels such as these. Confrontations & disgruntlement are imminent.

I agree with Terri on this one. Some aspect of their relationship will fail either their professional relationship or their personal friendship or both. I’ve seen it happen first hand.

Again what the heck is Alex’s quals for this job? Never seen her work a day in this strip.

Doesn’t matterr how well you know the person or how much you’re friends. Just walking into one of those exeutive offices can be unnerving. At least for the first half dozen times.
