When the Mrs. and I got our passports some seven years back, the instructions specifically said we were not to smile or anything while our photo was taken (at the main post office in the nearest big city; I think the photog worked part-time doing mug shots for the PD). We look like sex offenders. It’s worse than driver’s license photos.

OMG I see people like this every day!!! It’s just a passport photo, only the “officials” see it, it’s NOT a portrait seen by the whole world!!

I remeber when I took my driver’s liscense photo for my 21st birthday. I had this glazed look in my eye, I looked like the World Biggest Stoner!!!!

In Canada, we’re not allowed to smile on our passports anymore. I think it’s been that way for about 6 years.
