Rob: What is on your arm? Satchel: This? My new watch. Bucky: That's a calculator, Satchel. Satchel: Yeah, it's a calculator watch. It's one of Bucky's products. Bucky: Yup. That's one boss hunk o' man gear, eh wilco? Satchel: The only problem is they're glued together, so I can't see the watch... Or change the dead calculator batteries. But it's guaranteed for life, right Buck? Bucky: Yeah, it's life. Which is clearly over. Tough luck.

Sounds like my local dollar-type shop. Man comes in complaining that the radio he bought last week doesn’t work. The sales girl’s response: “So?” No wonder they seldom give register slips.

Yeah….I bought a package of dead batteries from the dollar store once. Hey, it’s a dollar store. Still worth visiting once in a while.

If people got life in prison for selling crap, they’d change their ’tude. A bad battery in a cell has a whole other meaning.

Satch, if you read the guarantee carefully, it does say “Comes with batteries free of charge.”

All the television commercials guaranteeing a product or service for life – I can’t help but ask “whose life?” – I’m positive it’s not yours or mine.

Dollar stores are goof for things that don’t go stale, like detergent, bleach, fabric softener thingies, stuff like that…don’t buy the candles, they are too cheap. I got burned, so to speak…

Dollar stores are quite popular, at least in my area. Even Wal-Mart considers them a threat.

Sounds like a typical warranty to me. Or it dies the week after it expires.

I love dollar stores… buy a bazillion coffee filters for a buck, never again waste an expensive paper towel covering up microwave food…
