1. Gitmo and “enhanced interrogation” had nothing to do with success. (Any SERE school graduate can tell you why, just like John McCain.)
2. China’s government IS totalitarian, and stinks, but they’re heading toward more freedom there. Our government under the last administration started going the other way, using 9/11 as an excuse to HUGELY increase “intelligence” to spy not so much on other nations, as OUR OWN!
With something over 300million in our population, we might want to consider the nations with over a billion, or the other “cultures”, like Islam, with 1.5 billion, and figure the numbers. Custer was the model for “neocon” thinking, Gandhi accomplished a lot more, without relying on stupidity, we can call “aggression”.
There IS a time, when pushed too far, when reaction may be proper, but constantly looking for pre-emptive action as an answer, is stupid.
