It gets even worse once roller blades hit the scene.
Weaveboards!
And there’s always a show off in the crowd.
Just wait a few years until 2015, Sally…
Hoverboards!
Well, wait a minute… inline skates did exist back then, even though they weren’t commonly used. Robert John Tyers patented inline skates in 1823 [sic]. Yes, that long ago!
I know how you feel, Sally! :-(
Snoopy is head over heels about skateboarding. (where’s Dogsniff when we need him?)
Now Sally could just get shoes with the wheels already inside them…
Didn’t see the skate key though.
Awwwwww. Don’t feel that way, Sally.
You just stick with what you’re good at which is being adorable and cute.

A very Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers out there!
Typical 1960s strip. That’s when skate boards first became popular.
This is pretty much how I feel when I see everyone playing with their i-phones, laptops & Kindles…
I see when it comes to scatebords in thier town red must be the only color avalable
Ya dont forget these comics are reruns. I am not sure if Charles Schulz ever drew in line skates. RIP CS.
