In fairness to the “bully,” this was not bullying behavior – at least not what was shown today. He laughed at the irony of the sign, and a small child in a “Giants” baseball cap. It may not have been a pleasant laugh, but that’s pretty hard to determine from this picture. On the other hand, it is pretty funny…
I’m a SF Giants fan from way back so I approve of today’s strip. That said you’d think that the bully would know that messing with Lio always ends badly, he should just be happy that it was not the brain eating zombies this time.
In 1962, Alvin Dark was managing the giants. He said that man would set foot on the the moon before Gaylord Perry would ever hit a home run. On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. Twenty minuutes later, Gaylord Perry hit a home run.
most of you wont see this but the review on GoComics for the new Lio book: There’s A Monster In My Socks says ages 8 – 12. What the heck does that make me in my 50’s and the rest of us toon-fans!

If in Toronto, there’d really be a basketball-playing dinosaur. Don’t laugh, Liō’s bully, or YOU would be the one extinct.

@Jkissmya (yesterday):
My comment wasn’t aimed at you, it was just a general response to the “anti grumpy brigade”.
You wouldn’t be involved with the Opthalmology profession would you?

Love the slit in Lio’s baseball cap that lets his pointy hair stick through! :-D
