When they finally push him too far…. ….when he’s worn and frazzled… and at the end of his rope…….and just one more person says “Well,aren’t you going to answer me??”||He will take off his hat, and shout… “No! No!I’m a frayed knot!”

That fellow seems to have a touch of stage fright.

She looks like she’s ready to tie one on.

I was wondering how many people would have to Google the phrase to get the gist. Kennedy was inaugurated over 50 years ago – that’s ancient history for the majority of Americans.

I understand the reference, but where are they and what are they doing? I feel that I am only getting half the joke (a common thing here lately).

This joke is almost more clever than the comments. The knot knows the answer – he’s just tongue tied.

To paraphrase the last senator I had that even begrudgingly helped his constituents, I remember Jack Kennedy. And I also remember your kind were attacking him for being a welfare state socialist and calling for his assassination, until some misfit decided that was the way to be a hero and did it.
