    Nice try Agnes!

Some people are just aesthetically not “modern”. For them we should be thankful.

In my HS Art Class, I got the idea of filling my mouth with blue, green & red tempra and primed with a snootful of pepper, sneezed it onto a canvas. The teacher thought I waz a (deleted) wise-ass and gave me a zero. Years later, Mr. Pollock is lauded for essentially doing the same thing. Only difference; Mr. Pollock remained stringy and starved-looking and died rich; I grew fat and old. Thus the eventuality of the liberal arts.

From what I know of Pollock…a book, abject fawning article or two…I wish Grandma HAD gotten hold of him…he might not have gotten drunk and…what? killed a couple of beautiful women who loved him in an unnecessary car accident.

The spattered colors ARE pretty…maybe even beautiful…nevertheless my respect goes to people who have worked diligently and gained skills to communicate with color form line shape etc etc…what the heck, I CAN spatter-paint.

I would have a GREAT deal of work to be able to draw and paint in such a way as to keep attention and give the viewer fair worth for his or her time in perusal…

Even Andy Warhol could sketch, draw, paint…before he tripped off into pure advertising and social commentary…

From those curved walls and rivets, I get the impression the trailer is 3 rooms – bathroom, bedroom & living space with kitchen space. I’m not sure – but I think maybe Grandma’s bedroom/bed is the fold out couch. .So housework might not be that much. Though laundry & dishes on the other hand …. could I have a house elf & brownie please?

CONSIDERING:“- – - “Piss Christ” represented. (I would have put it in blood myself.) It concerned how the Catholic church was behind the Govt of El Salvador who used death squads to keep dissent of any kind down.”.The artist doesn’t seem to have had El Salvador in mind according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piss_ChristBut even if it were, the cross is generally used as a symbol of Christianity rather than Catholicism. (non Catholics can see quite a difference) As such, the artist’s depiction was taken as an attack on all who followed the teachings of Christ..The biggest complaint was the idea that taxpayer’s money funded the project. Be as vulgar as you wish but don’t use my money to do it..“The photograph was one of a series of photographs that Serrano had made that involved classical statuettes submerged in various fluids—milk, blood, and urine.”.[So your joy can be complete since he used blood on another in the series.] .“Serrano has not ascribed overtly political content to Piss Christ and related artworks, on the contrary stressing their ambiguity. He has also said that while this work is not intended to denounce religion, it alludes to a perceived commercializing or cheapening of Christian icons in contemporary culture.”.If the artist is misunderstood following intentional ambiguity, let’s blame The Great Unwashed?
