I read the last panel and though, “Wow, Bucky knows Satch pretty well!” Then I remembered Darby… it’s kinda cool when the cartoonist disappears and we’re left with just the characters.

… and if that made sense to anyone, I’m sorry. I’m going to go find something edible that isn’t food now.

Satch reminds me of a man I used to work with, who played the “dumb Irishman” to the hilt. He pretended to be on his own planet most of the time—and because people expected that of him, it saved him a lot of hassle and projects he didn’t want to do. I once talked to him when I was in great distress of mind, and found him to be entirely “there.” After that, it was our secret.

What Bucky said the last panel is definately something Satch would say.

I can’t wait to see Satchel reacting to Bucky imitating Satch. Do I see a few gray hairs on the head of Rob in the last panel?

I hope Rob puts a stop to it before Satchel comes into the room… poor Satch!

just keep telling him what you’re like, satchel, and there won’t be any lack of character
