I have a lab/pit bull mix and she’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever owned. Not aggressive with dogs or humans. If you feed my dogs from your hand, it’s my two border collie mixes that you have to worry about the possibility that you may draw back a nub! But not my pittie mix! She’s 50 lbs of sweetness!
If you ask any vet which breeds bite the most, they will tell you it’s the little dogs. Small dogs don’t do as much damage when they bite, but they bite more often.
I’ll stick with mine. A Bugg (half pug, half Boston terrier). Quiet, friendly to absolutely everyone and everything – yet loyal. His biggest fault is that he wants to lick everyone all the time.

Steel, my dearly departed pit bull, was the vet’s favorite dog. He was a 75 lb lap dog that wouldn’t hurt a soul.

My dog doesn’t like strangers touching him. The vet gave him a treat and the next time he saw the vet, no longer strangers. :)
