Table 5 is so far down the list they donā€™t even get bibs. And theyā€™re the oneā€™s that need them.

Could it be that the people at that other table had more to say than ā€œGobble gobble gobble?ā€

The Pennys probably donā€™t even know how to take part in dinnertable conversationā€¦.theyā€™ve never been told youā€™re allowed to take breaks from chewing and swallowing before the food is gone.

    Morning, all!

ā€œItā€™s not faaaiiirrā€¦ā€Canā€™t you just hear Verlā€™s plaintive but screechy little whine?Itā€™s well-practicedā€¦.Probably spent her first 14 or 15 years running to Ma with it, whenever big sister Joy got away with something. And since Joyā€™s always been a conniving schemer, opportunities were rife.

Hi X ā€” did you see that I DID answer you on BS?

Marg! That canā€™t be you. I have it on reliable authority that you left town!Hope youā€™re having fun!

X ā€” no hurryā€¦. be sure you leave room for some of that cake.

Joy, Burl et al will be worried that itā€™s not big enough, so theyā€™ll take TWO pieces eachā€¦..You know, to make sure they get seconds before itā€™s all gone.

Watching the Pennys eat must resemble that wonderful scene in ā€œFargoā€ where one perp is putting the other through a wood chipper. I think Iā€™ve seen somethng like in on NatGeo Wild.

And just maybe, theyā€™re not human vacuum cleaners and take the time to chew and taste their food, Burl.

Yes, the other table is still eating. The chatted, they savored the food, they didnā€™t just shovel it in.

And as pointed out, they can make up for less food (in their minds) by scarfing down cake. Maybe even make a few visits to the cake line.

I wonder if the gift from the Pennys will be the stapler that Burl took home from work. Maybe something from the dollar store, or something they were going to throw away. Whatever it is, you can bet Joy asked them to just put her name on it too.

I am thinking the couple of honor only invited them because they knew their grandparents or someone and they felt they should or it would seem rude. Not that the Pennys understand rude.

With Burl wearing half of his dinner, I hope he doesnā€™t insist on dancing with the woman of honor.

    Good Morning Crustwood!

Serving size is normally the same for each guestā€¦. so the PENNYs either got served earlier or ate fasterā€¦ā€¦ Further evidence suggets they ate fasterā€¦. a lot fasterā€¦..Next they will be complaining about how long it takes to serve the cakeā€¦. ! ! !

I say they all eat so fast they canā€™t even taste the food. And why bother talking to each other during a meal. scarf ā€“ scarf.

iā€™ve actually been to buffet style dinners, and watched people that came in after us get up to make their next run(s), and actually leave a ā€œfoodā€ circle bare on the table, food all over themselves, the seats, etc.

Hard to conceive (as if we wanted to) if even Jerry finds behavior questionable. My fledgling red tail hawks are better at sharing food and eating neatly (with only beak and talons) than these folk.
