The U.N. has, and still does, accomplish a LOT around the world, but the “anti-U.N. crowd” in the U.S. only picks up on the most difficult, or impossible, situations to use as an argument against the organization, and efforts at peace, that take profits away from the war machine. Too bad they can’t stop the trade in small arms, and recycled weapons, like armed helicopters, from places like Russia, U.S., China, and that major supplier, Israel.
—and a bad pun too. However, I think they do some good by getting countries to the negotiating table rather than at war! It’s tyrants like Assad who give the UN a bad name!
