Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
SurveyI think that a lot of Calvin and Hobbes posters would be interested in knowing what countries are represented by the posters here. If you do not live in the U.S., please tell us what country you are in.(Or, in Puddleglumās case, āPlease tell us in what country you are.ā)
Brooklyn, NY. The REAL Brooklyn (it IS a country), not the newly hipsterized Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Fort Greene, Red Hook, etc. And definitely not Park Slope, which was livable once before the baby strollers took over and the expensive restaurants.
@Hobbes,āAnother country heard fromā ā¦from another country heard ā¦heard from another country ā¦whatever!Iām in an awful, or is it aweful, āstateā after seeing your reference to my grammar police proclivity relative to a preposition at the end of a sentence. Suffice it to say, we have mass media here, and we have country, too, even though the commonwealth is densely populated and the common wealth is densely distributed.
To follow up on my previous comment:āNot that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.ā Phil. 4:11In my case, itās an ideal, not an achievement!
USA, but spent 1964 in Turkey ā Army, Manzarali StationA secret cold war listening post, on a tall hill, near a major highway, Army style buildings and acres of antennas! In God We Trust -All others we monitor.(Presently near Iowa, Mo, Illinois junction)
Oregon, aka Gods Country. Lately I feel guilty living here.No drought, no heat, only a few fires but small. We are truely blessed living here. The world has become a very tiny place. Look at us all chatting and being silly every day with each other readinā the funny pages. What a wonderful world.
Never seen so many comments! ^^ I see there are more Calvinists than I thought. Anyway,
I hail from Catalonia, and live some 60 miles north of Barcelona, not far from the French border.
@Puddleglum2 ā great your comment on Paulās dictum to be your ideal; itās mine too ā¦ By the way, Iām a great fan of Puddleglum, and cannot but notice his approach to life, he reminds me of Thomas Didimus. ā¦
Sorry I didnāt read the comments, guys. There was an ad for car insurance on the left side of the page with a great looking 1950s babe. It kinda took my attention off of the comment sectionā¦ :-)
