It’s cheaper now to just buy a new player than it is to get the extended warranty. My last DVD player cost about $20.00. The store wanted to sell me a three-year warranty on the thing that cost $39.95.
This same thing happened to me and also on a car several years ago which was a lemon (before the lemon law was passed). I agree with the other commenter in that it is cheaper to purchase a new unit then to get the extended warranty on this item.
“Planned Obsolescence” is the worse thing that has happened to this country. It is the equivalent of a mechanic affecting your car, so you have to return every month. Products degrade until they literally break down before they arrive. It should be a crime.
Yesterday and today, Skeezix has been drawn more realistically than I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen lots of GA art by King, Perry, Moores and Scancarelli. By the way, hard cover reprints of the Dick Moores era will be beginning in the next few months.

I was in an electronics store recently. The salesman was pushing a $500 warranty on a $300 computer. I took my business elsewhere.
