I got a toothpick in my heel once, and it did take a doctor to get it out. And it really hurt when he did it. I didn’t realize the heel could be that sensitive.

I hope that’s not his “trigger finger”.

Shopping in uniform? Must be looking for a “professional” discount.

Be thankful she cares Joe…at least it won’t get infected or amputated.

My accident-prone daugher decided to wash dishes while living off campus at school and tried to remove some dried-on home-made linguini from a pot. Jammed the linguini up into her thumbnail and had to have the pasta surgically removed. Ate too many soy-based things at a sushi bar and wound up overnight at hospital foaming at mouth, with raving roommate, during finals. Later stepped on a bee while barefooted and went to the hospital with strep toe (red streaks running up leg). Injured her wrist while sticking her hand into the bell of her (French) horn. Threw her shoulder out while playing pinball at the mall. Broke arm first day of church ski trip. Had to go to ER after stepping on a Coke bottle and spraining something while volunteering at a carwash. Recenly injured two fingers feeling up lawnmower (middle finger stuck in birdflip position). Gee, I’d forgotten there were so many things – was just going to tell about first one. Moral is, you can’t be too careful.

Occupational hazard with a friend or relative in the medical field. We do get a bit overzealous… ;)

@HighStreetLady As you will see in up-coming strips, Pop is having a tough time leaving this project completely to the professional! Great observation, though
